Gold is the main currency in the Overlord Series.
Gold is easy to obtain by looting Treasure Chests scattered throughout the World and is also dropped by many enemies. It can be picked up by the Overlord himself, or by his minions.
Concerning Treasure Chests, in Overlord II, you will also be able to find some by the Town Halls of your conquered towns (these will refill with gold, every time you leave the area). If you choose to dominate a town, the citizens will additionally mine for gold, at a continuous rate.
Usage:
- The forging of weapons and armour requires a certain amount of gold.
- Upgrading your Dark Tower will also cost a pretty penny.
- So do Dark Tower decorations for your mistresses.
- Minion upgrades may also require gold (Velvet).
